Rajesh Khanna sought divorce repeatedly, says partner

Anita Advani, partner of late actor Rajesh Khanna, has claimed in a recent interview that Khanna repeatedly asked for a divorce from his wife Dimple Kapadia, but she refused. The Bombay High Court dismissed Advani's plea to recognize her live-in relationship as a valid marriage, ruling it didn't meet Hindu Marriage Act criteria. Khanna and Kapadia married in 1973 when she was 16, separated in 1982 but never divorced.
