Anahat Singh becomes India's first world junior squash champion

Anahat Singh made history by becoming the first Indian to win the World Junior Squash Championships, defeating Egypt's Ruqayya Salem 11-3, 11-7, 11-9 in the final in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada. The 18-year-old top seed ended Egypt's 15-year dominance in the event, surpassing the previous best by an Indian, Joshna Chinappa, who was runner-up in 2005.
