Study: DNA mutations may cap human lifespan at 156 years

A new mathematical model by Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology suggests that even if all other aging processes are halted, the gradual accumulation of DNA mutations in cells could limit human lifespan to around 156 years. Published in npg aging, the study estimates that somatic mutations in non-regenerative tissues like the brain and heart create an upper bound, far exceeding the current record of 122 years but still finite.
