UP reconstitutes SIT in Ram Temple donation theft probe

The Uttar Pradesh government has reconstituted the Special Investigation Team probing alleged embezzlement of offerings at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, following Supreme Court directions. The new SIT, led by IG Kiran S with DIG Somen Verma and SSP Gaurav Grover, replaces an earlier team. The top court had sought a status report by July 27, noting experienced police officers should handle the case.
