The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall, with isolated extremely heavy spells, for Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Odisha on Sunday, July 26. The alert follows a day when Gujarat's Santalpur recorded 390 mm of rain in 24 hours. Multiple weather systems, including low-pressure areas over Rajasthan and the Bay of Bengal, are driving the widespread downpour. The IMD also warned of flash flood risks in parts of Gujarat, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.
