Assam floods death toll rises to 66, 6.5 lakh affected

The death toll from Assam floods rose to 66, with over 6.54 lakh people affected across 10 districts, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority. Sivasagar is the worst-hit district, with 2.9 lakh people affected. Rescue operations continue as rivers flow above danger level. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited relief camps and assured central support.
