Typhoon Noul forces over 715,000 evacuations in China

Typhoon Noul, the strongest typhoon to hit China this year, made landfall in southern Guangdong province early Sunday, prompting the evacuation of more than 715,000 people. Hundreds of flights were cancelled, including about 350 in Hong Kong, where at least nine people were injured. The storm brought heavy rain and strong winds, with authorities warning of flash floods and further damage as it moves inland toward Jiangxi and Hunan provinces.
