West Bengal to build new assembly as seats exceed 400

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced a new assembly building will be constructed, citing an expected increase in seats to over 400 after delimitation and implementation of the Women's Reservation Bill. The current building will be preserved as a heritage structure. Separately, Adhikari reported seven cases registered and 70 miscreants identified in violence during a NEET students' protest in Kolkata, where media personnel were attacked.
