Rahul Gandhi demands accountability over police brutality on students

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah on July 25 demanding accountability for the 'barbaric assault' on student protesters in Delhi on July 20. Gandhi questioned the use of lethal force including pellet guns, cited serious injuries to students and a journalist, and asked who authorized the deployment of plainclothes personnel. He said peaceful protest is crucial to democracy and the government must resolve grievances through dialogue.
