Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will travel to Delhi to propose lowering the minimum age for contesting Assembly and Lok Sabha elections from 25 to 21. He plans to submit a note to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, arguing that Gen Z should be allowed to make laws. The proposal follows youth protests over the NEET exam leak. A resolution will be adopted in the state legislature in August and sent to the central government. Reddy urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to consider the change alongside other electoral reforms.
