Air India modifies Dreamliners over door handle issue

Air India is carrying out modifications on some of its Boeing 787 Dreamliners to address a possible door assist handle issue, after the US Federal Aviation Administration issued an airworthiness directive. The watchdog warned that detachment of the handles could cause injuries and hinder emergency evacuation. The airline said there is no impact on flight operations or safety, and modifications are being done in phases.
