Anup Mishra, father of a 21-year-old NEET aspirant who died by suicide in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri, lamented that his son Ritik did not live to see Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resign after weeks of protests over a paper leak. Ritik, who had attempted the exam three times, took his life on May 14, a day before the re-test was announced. The Centre has accepted demands for compensation for families of 21 students who died by suicide.
