Former Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan offered to resign on the very first day of student protests over the NEET paper leak, according to senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya. He said Pradhan told the party chief he would resign if needed, but was initially refused. When the party later decided on his resignation, he stepped down immediately. Vijayvargiya praised Pradhan's honesty and said his resignation foiled foreign forces' plans to destabilize India. He criticized the opposition for weaponizing the protests.
