Rishikanta Singh wins silver, sets CWG snatch record

India's Rishikanta Singh Chanambam won the silver medal in the men's 60kg weightlifting event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, setting a new Games snatch record of 121kg. He finished with a total of 264kg, behind Malaysia's Mohamad Aniq Kasdan (273kg, Games record) and ahead of Kenya's Joshua Amunga Mboya (260kg). The silver is India's first at the Games and second overall after a para powerlifting bronze.
