Rishikanta Singh wins silver at Glasgow 2026 CWG

Indian weightlifter Rishikanta Singh won silver in the men's 60kg event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, setting a new Games record in the snatch with a lift of 121 kg. The 28-year-old from Imphal, Manipur, was edged out for gold by Malaysia's defending champion Mohamad Aniq. Singh's achievement caps a journey from the National Sports Academy in Imphal to training in Bulgaria and Modinagar.
