Pralhad Joshi takes charge as Education Minister

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi assumed additional charge of the Ministry of Education on Sunday, succeeding Dharmendra Pradhan who resigned after nationwide protests over NEET exam irregularities. Joshi said the portfolio is a "new subject" for him and he is reviewing the ministry's functioning. He continues to hold his existing portfolios of Consumer Affairs and New and Renewable Energy.
