Himachal teachers launch hunger strike over school system

Thousands of Himachal Pradesh primary teachers gathered in Shimla on Sunday, concluding a 15-day march with an indefinite relay hunger strike. Led by the Himachal Pradesh Primary Teachers Federation, they demand the rollback of the School Complex System introduced in September 2025, which they say weakens primary education and leaves nearly 200 schools without teachers. The protest continues until the government addresses their demands.
