Berlin Pride attack suspect shot dead by police

Abdul Ballout, 21, suspected of driving a van into a crowd near Berlin's Pride festival on Saturday, killing one and injuring 29, was shot dead by police in Spandau on Sunday after he charged at officers with a knife. German authorities described the attack as an Islamist terror act. Ballout, a German citizen with Lebanese roots, had previously tried to join the Islamic State group.
