Nvidia in talks to back $250B OpenAI data center project

Nvidia is in talks to provide roughly $250 billion in financing guarantees for OpenAI to lease a 10-gigawatt data center in southern Ohio being developed by SoftBank's energy subsidiary, the Wall Street Journal reported. The project, expected to cost over $500 billion, would secure Nvidia chip demand while fueling AI infrastructure spending, which is projected to exceed $700 billion this year.
