Congress demands probe into lathi-charge on students

Congress leader Arif Naseem Khan said the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is insufficient and demanded an investigation into those who ordered the July 20 lathi-charge on student protesters during the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak protests. He also called for the Prime Minister to apologize, the withdrawal of FIRs against students, and vowed to continue agitation. The protests included a Tiranga Rally in Mumbai and a separate gathering at Shivaji Park addressed by Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray.
