Typhoon Noul hits China, strongest this year

Typhoon Noul made landfall in southern China on Sunday, bringing strong winds and heavy rain. In Hong Kong, multi-storey scaffolding collapsed on Cheung Sha Wan Road, with no injuries reported. Hong Kong airport cancelled around 360 flights. State media called it the strongest typhoon to hit China in 2026 so far.
