Bordeaux wildfire spawns fire cloud with own lightning

A catastrophic wildfire in Bordeaux, France, has created a pyrocumulonimbus — a massive fire cloud generating its own winds and lightning. The unprecedented event has forced over 325,000 people to flee, destroyed villages and forests, and overwhelmed firefighters. Nearly 2,500 firefighters, 1,500 military personnel, and 1,200 police have been deployed as the blaze continues under 38°C heat.
