India summons Ukraine envoy over sailor's death

India summoned Ukraine's Ambassador Oleksandr Polishchuk on Monday to protest the killing of an Indian sailor in a July 18 attack on the merchant vessel MV OMORFI in the Black Sea. The Ministry of External Affairs condemned the targeting of commercial shipping, warning of risks to maritime safety and global commerce. This marks the second diplomatic summons in a week; India earlier summoned a Russian diplomat after a separate attack killed four Indian seafarers.
