France, Spain wildfires force over 300,000 evacuations

Massive wildfires in France and Spain have forced more than 300,000 people to evacuate as record heat and drought fuel the blazes. In France, 98,000 hectares have burned, including 32,000 in Gironde and Landes, destroying 240 buildings. Spain has seen 152,000 hectares scorched, six times last year's area. The fires threaten Bordeaux and have led to one of France's largest peacetime evacuations, with the Cap Ferret peninsula fully evacuated.
