Tata Sons' new businesses lose Rs 28,800 crore

Tata Sons' three new ventures—Air India, Tata Digital, and Tata Electronics—posted combined losses of Rs 28,823 crore in FY26, more than double the previous year's Rs 15,539 crore. Air India alone accounted for over 75% of losses at Rs 22,238 crore. Chairman N Chandrasekaran urged shareholders to take a long-term view, emphasizing the group's focus on generational impact over near-term financial performance. Despite losses, aggregate revenue rose 35% to Rs 2.39 lakh crore, led by Tata Electronics.
