Bindyarani Devi wins bronze in CWG 2026 weightlifting

India's Bindyarani Devi Sorokhaibam secured bronze in the women's 58kg weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, lifting a total of 199kg (87kg snatch + 112kg clean and jerk). The 27-year-old from Manipur finished third behind Nigeria's gold medalist Rafiatu Folashade Lawal (229kg) and Canada's silver medalist Ann Sophie Taschereau (215kg). England's Eliza Pratt finished fourth. This is Bindyarani's second Commonwealth medal after silver in the 55kg at Birmingham 2022, and India's sixth medal of the Games.
