McConnell, Ndevelo advance in Commonwealth boxing

Northern Irish boxer Jon McConnell, who turned down Love Island, is one win from a medal after defeating India's Sumit Sumit in the 70kg quarter-finals at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Namibia's Tryagain Morning Ndevelo, inspired by his name meaning perseverance, also reached the quarter-finals with a unanimous points win over Bangladesh's Md Ruhin Reza in the 60kg competition.
