Tennessee tells jury Meta ignored teen harm warnings

Tennessee attorneys told a Nashville jury Monday that Meta Platforms ignored internal research showing Instagram’s design fueled compulsive use, eating disorders, and self-harm among teens. The state seeks financial penalties and platform changes in a seven-week trial. A New Mexico jury earlier this year ordered Meta to pay $375 million in a similar case.
