Karnataka minister demands Amit Shah apology over student action

Karnataka Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah on Tuesday demanded Union Home Minister Amit Shah apologise for alleged police brutality against students protesting the NEET-UG paper leak on July 20. He said Parliament proceedings should resume only after the apology. The demand intensifies the political deadlock between the ruling NDA and opposition during the Monsoon Session. Separately, Siddaramaiah announced drought relief measures in Karnataka.
