60 Palestinians freed from Israel describe abuses

Sixty Palestinian detainees returned to Gaza on Monday frail and injured, accusing Israeli guards of beatings, medical neglect, and harsh conditions. Brought by the Red Cross to Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, they were among nearly 1,300 held as 'unlawful combatants'. Rights groups say such treatment amounts to systematic torture. Many were laborers in occupied territory before the war.
