India slams Pakistan's 'cosmetic' PoJK elections

India's Ministry of External Affairs denounced Pakistan's legislative elections in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) as a 'cosmetic electoral exercise' aimed at masking illegal occupation and human rights abuses. The condemnation follows deadly protests in PoJK where Pakistani forces fired on demonstrators, killing at least 14. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal reiterated India's stance that all of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of India.
