Tejashwi promises pension for jailed student protesters

On the final day of campaigning for the Bankipur Assembly by-election, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav announced a pension for students jailed or injured during recent protests if his party forms government. He also demanded a judicial inquiry into the alleged use of an AK-47 to stop protesters. Tejashwi compared the proposal to existing pensions for JP Movement participants.
