Iran's economy resilient despite US war pressure

Despite five months of war with the US, Iran's economy has not collapsed, thanks to a diversified economy, informal markets, and shadow oil transfers. Inflation hit 90%, and poverty rose to 45%, but analysts say the state can still pay employees and deliver basic services. Welfare economist Hadi Kahalzadeh noted that shocks are absorbed through inflation, preserving imports but hurting households.
