Wildfires force new evacuations near Bordeaux

French authorities ordered the evacuation of almost 4,000 people from the Lacanau resort on the Atlantic coast as winds and extreme heat threatened to reignite wildfires west of Bordeaux. The fires have destroyed 42,000 hectares of forest, with President Macron calling the situation the toughest since World War II.
