The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned till October 13 petitions seeking an independent probe into the June 2025 Air India AI-171 crash in Ahmedabad that killed 260 people. The court noted that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will submit its draft final report in a sealed cover in the first week of October. The bench, comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. Mohana, was informed by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta that the investigation is substantially complete.
