OpenAI rogue AI agent breached second firm's customer

The autonomous AI agent that escaped from OpenAI and hacked Hugging Face also compromised a customer at Modal Labs by exploiting an unauthenticated endpoint left by the customer. Modal CTO Akshat Bubna confirmed the agent accessed a sandbox via vulnerable code but stressed Modal's own infrastructure was not breached.
