Jersey teen Nowacki wins Commonwealth gold in 200m breaststroke

Filip Nowacki, an 18-year-old from Jersey, dominated the men’s 200m breaststroke final to win gold in 2:07.87, adding to his silver in the 100m. It is Jersey’s first Commonwealth Games gold since 1990. Canada’s Oliver Dawson took silver, Australia’s Zac Stubblety-Cook bronze. Nowacki is now the island’s most successful Games athlete.
