Centre and Opposition clash over anti-paper leak Bill

The ruling and opposition camps locked horns in Lok Sabha over the NEET-UG paper leak as the Centre introduced the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, proposing stringent punishments including 5-10 years imprisonment and fines up to Rs 50 lakh. Union Minister Jitendra Singh called it a milestone, while Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi attacked the government amid nationwide protests.
