Jordan intercepts 5 Iranian missiles, oil surges

Jordan's military said its air defenses intercepted five missiles launched from Iran early Wednesday, hours after the U.S. military downed an Iranian barrage against American forces. The renewed hostilities sent oil prices spiking 3.1% to $84.58 a barrel. Iran's Revolutionary Guard claimed responsibility, targeting U.S. bases in Jordan.
