Fauci invokes Fifth Amendment, declines Senate testimony

Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refused to testify at a Senate hearing on Wednesday, accusing Republican Senator Rand Paul of an “unhinged obsession” with him. Fauci, who advised both Donald Trump and Joe Biden during the Covid-19 pandemic, said the hearing was part of a years-long investigation aimed at “embarrassing and intimidating” him.
