Meta outlines enhanced safeguards for prominent accounts after PM post row

Meta has written to India's IT Ministry outlining enhanced safeguards for content posted by the Prime Minister and other prominent accounts, including multiple checks at senior company levels. The move follows controversy over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook post being briefly restricted due to a glitch. The IT Ministry had called Meta's initial explanation inadequate and summoned a top executive. A Meta team is expected to meet officials soon.
