India is determined not to miss the 6G opportunity as it did with 4G, Minister of State for Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said at the launch of India Mobile Congress 2026. The government is expanding the domestic 6G ecosystem to 90 partners and holding quarterly reviews to ensure India secures a seat at global standards table, aiming to transition from Digital India to an 'Intelligent India' driven by 6G, AI, quantum communications and satellite connectivity.
