USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino and US Soccer are in the final stages of agreeing on a new contract that would extend his tenure through the 2030 World Cup, multiple sources told the Guardian. Pochettino, hired in September 2024, led the US to a last-16 exit in the 2026 World Cup under his initial $6m-per-year deal. A new agreement would pay him significantly more and allow both sides to focus on upcoming friendlies.
