Trump asks Supreme Court to toss $83M defamation verdict

They argue that Trump cannot be sued for comments made while he was president, invoking the Westfall Act. This is the second time Trump has sought to overturn a jury award to Carroll; the Court refused in June to hear a similar appeal of a $5 million verdict.
