Colombo clash probes China cyber fraud link

A violent clash involving Chinese nationals in Sri Lanka's Colombo Port City has triggered a major criminal investigation into possible links with international cyber fraud syndicates. Authorities suspect that Chinese-run scam networks, which have proliferated in Southeast Asia, may be establishing a presence in Sri Lanka. Two Chinese nationals were arrested and one found dead last week. The incident raises concerns that these syndicates are relocating after crackdowns in Myanmar and Cambodia.
