Skubal fans 1,000th, perhaps in final Tigers start

Tarik Skubal struck out his 1,000th career batter Wednesday, breaking Max Scherzer's franchise record in what could be his last start for Detroit before the trade deadline. The two-time Cy Young winner received multiple standing ovations from the 34,406 fans at Comerica Park. Skubal, who is eligible for free agency after the World Series, allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings against Baltimore.
