A New Jersey man was sentenced Wednesday to six months and a week for ramming his car into the Chabad Lubavitch world headquarters in Brooklyn. Dan Sohail, 36, who pleaded guilty to intentionally damaging religious property, will be released in about a week after already serving six months. The judge cited mental health issues and rejected a harsher sentence sought by prosecutors as a deterrent against rising anti-Jewish hate crimes.
