Japanese mall explodes after magnitude 6.8 quake

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Japan's Kumamoto prefecture on Kyushu island Tuesday, causing an explosion and partial collapse at the Aeon shopping mall. Staff and customers had evacuated before the blast, but search teams are still looking for survivors. The quake hit at 16:27 local time (07:27 GMT).
