Root returns as England Test captain, Fleming named coach

England have reappointed Joe Root as Test captain and named Stephen Fleming as head coach, replacing Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum following Stokes' retirement and McCullum's dismissal. Root, England's all-time leading Test run-scorer, previously captained in 64 matches. Fleming, former Chennai Super Kings coach, takes charge ahead of a three-Test home series against Pakistan starting August 19.
