Attack on Pakistan police post kills 11 officers, 15 militants

Militants using explosive-laden quadcopters and heavy weapons attacked a police post in Hangu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, near the Afghan border, killing 11 police officers and wounding more than two dozen. Security forces killed 15 attackers in a gunbattle. Among the dead was Deputy Superintendent Diyar Khan. No group claimed responsibility, but suspicion falls on the Pakistani Taliban (TTP), which has escalated attacks in the region.
